Clayton Anderson

In the past five years, Clayton Anderson has managed to do the unthinkable — he’s cracked into country music backwards, independently, and with a fury.  Opening for some of country’s biggest stars including Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, Lee Brice, Wynonna, Joe Diffie, and Jimmy Buffett, Clayton has put himself on the map the old-fashioned way – playing backrooms, side stages, and honky-tonks from Michigan to Florida, each time gaining a few more fans and a better foothold on areas that aren’t traditional country strongholds.

Growing up in Southern Indiana, Clayton’s influences include music from Elvis Presley to Conway Twitty, Garth Brooks to Kenny Chesney, Johnny Cash to Eric Church, and Bruce Springsteen to Indiana’s own John Mellencamp.  Clayton began playing music as a hobby in college at Indiana University in Bloomington, and after a few years playing locally, Clayton won Kenny Chesney’s Next Big Star competition.  At that point, Clayton quit his day job, moved to Nashville and decided to pour his heart and soul into music.
